In this modern facility, the future meets the past. Hosting Municipal Management facilities, the local library, museum, the Corner Brook Rotary Arts Centre and more. Built to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) silver standards, this building features several cutting-edge environmentally-friendly innovations including ground sourced heat pumps, a green roof and a water reservoir. A dynamic energy monitoring system constantly displays data on usage throughout the building. Including these innovations and a special selection of glass, the building exceeds national energy code standards by 25% and generates approximately 500 tonnes less greenhouse gas than a similar facility.
