This facility was the first provincial government “Green Building”. Western Glass (then Power’s Tire and Glass) provided glass, aluminum and entrance-way design, fabrication and installation. Since our fabrication facility is located in the heart of Corner Brook, we were able to construct and deliver the hardware for this project on a much shorter lead time. Logistics in Newfoundland and Labrador can often be a challenge, but fabricating here in the province alleviates many of them.

The Corner Brook Long Term Care Home (CBLTC Home) has 250 beds and opened its doors on June 21, 2010. The philosophy of long term care is delivered through a social model of care which fosters safe resident centered care and is aimed at providing the best possible quality of life for individuals who require institutional long term care services. The delivery of services within the home setting reflects the diverse physical, cultural, social, emotional, spiritual, recreational and economic needs of the residents.
